Case Study: Warehouse Heating System Installation – Climate Division

Energy Efficient Heating System installed at a Distribution Company Warehouse

The customer

This particular customer works in the distribution and fulfilment industry. They have multiple warehouses throughout both the UK and the world, providing customers with millions of goods and services annually.

The requirements

A recently acquired warehouse meant that it needed to be designed for the customer’s unique requirements. Naturally, this also included the heating and ventilation system.

The new warehouse covered approximately 40,000 m2 (approximately 435,000 ft2) and required heating up in colder weather for workers. The new heating system was not allowed to occupy any space within the warehouse therefore the unit was required to be mounted and fitted externally.

The solution

Our expert team of heating engineers designed and installed a state of the art heating system, which comprised four Powrmatic TE61 rotation heaters with an output of 500kW. Tidyco modified the unit so that it could stand and function externally.

With just a team of two, our Tidyco Climate Control Engineers are hands-on throughout the whole process. Due to the size and weight of the units, a certain amount of logistics were involved, which meant the hiring of a crane. Not only did the engineers move and install everything themselves (all our engineers are provided with all the necessary equipment, training and qualifications at all times!) but we also added value by providing a cost-effective heating solution that met their requirements and optimised their warehouse space.
